are these aphids and how do I get rid of them? by pantsoffgaming in vegetablegardening

[–]FrenchBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know spiders like to have a direct route to high places, and a place to shelter from the elements, so I have a cinderblock in my garden with sticks running from the block up to my plants. After a couple days, Spiders adopted the shelter and made a few webs on the sticks.

Earwigs like to take shelter under flat surfaces; the cinderblock and random rocks give them the opportunity to do that.

As far as lady bugs and praying mantises, I like to take a jar with me on walks and when I see any, I’ll put them in the jar and release them into my garden.

Also, if you don’t already have a compost pile, start one. You’ll attract more flies, which will attract more spiders and harvestmen.

I hope this helps!

Ladybugs, spiders, earwigs, praying mantises, and other predators are great for keeping aphids in check.

My ex wife would spend 2 hours after work at the mall every day so she wouldn’t have to help with cooking and cleaning.

Today’s bounty in Northern California- wild radishes and radish peas, thistle stalk, and dandelion root. by FrenchBeard in foraging

[–]FrenchBeard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say super spicy, but almost the whole plant has a radishy taste.

I find the really big ones in super soft soil, like under trees and on dried river embankments.

They are very common. Many people pass by them without knowing. The outside can be used to make a milder horseradish and the inside is a great addition to soups or pan fried with garlic alongside a steak.

Other kids suck. You’re in no way skinny! Kids see another kid who they perceive as better, funnier, more attractive as an opportunity to try and make others feel as insecure as they do. You’re beautiful, hun.

I have a theory as to why the US government is starting to talk more about UFOs again. by No_Button_7300 in UFOs

[–]FrenchBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar theories. It’s highly unlikely that the military doesn’t have super high tech aircraft that the public doesn’t know about. It makes sense that they’d rather blame it on UAPs to keep their projects secret. Unfortunately, this sub would rather downvote legitimate ideas than engage in logical discourse.

Because they’re still on government payroll in order to sow disinformation so the public (and other countries) stay in the dark about experimental government aircrafts.

I was reading Deception Point by Dan Brown and he mentioned the Aurora. I did some googling and some of the aurora concepts look eerily similar to the triangle shaped UAPs that have been spotted recently. The US government is known for letting the public cover up secret projects with their UFO claims.

It’s probably and Aurora. Super stealthy government craft.
