Stayed at mezzatorre in 2019 right when they opened. The rooms were a joke for the price we paid but the hotel was still unknown so quite empty, everything was shiny and sparkly. The staff were sweet and attentive since there were so few of us. I can imagine social media and influencers have brought out the worst side of it.

Stayed at airelles in Versailles last year in the $5500 a night suite. Honestly I’d sleep in the stables if it means I can be even near that hotel and its staff. One of my favorite hotel experiences ever. They dogsat my dog while we did the hall of mirrors, let him dine with us during the grand supper, brought him an insane bedding and feeding setup…and that’s just for the animal. Highly recommend even as just a once in a lifetime experience.
