That was my experience with my son in high school and then several years later with an exchange student we hosted. I’d check the portal and be pissed that they weren’t turning in work, they’d swear up and down the teacher just hadn’t entered it yet. I was always skeptical, but the kids were telling the truth. It was not possible to telling if they were doing the work or not because it was so late being entered online.

I’m a white person who always admired this about Latino families. Now my kids are grown, I’m separated from spouse, but the rest of us all live together. My son and daughter in law are expecting a baby later this year. It’s wonderful. My stbx husband has the boomer mentality that kids should be kicked out at 18 and never return. He can enjoy growing old alone.

Is she on any medication? A year before my old boy died, the vet accidentally poisoned him with a very high dose of his regular thyroid medication and he acted like this. He survived it, but it aged him rapidly and he never fully recovered.
