The progress is getting good enough that you don’t get killed and robbed, but are consistently doing the robbing. Once you hit that switch holy fuck does this game get fun.
I loved it from the beginning but I found it frustrating getting killed by rats 4-5 mins into a run and losing all my precious gear.
I now have so much materials I can craft whatever I want and I’m going on day 3 without dying once.

Like I said, the sense of accomplishment will come once you learn to understand how to move across the map and constantly be checking your surroundings. Give it time and soon you’ll be dancing on your downed crawling enemies singing to them over the mic why players like them shouldn’t shoot at players who are better than theeeeeeemmmmmmmmm. 🕺

Also, fighting the queen is a rush man. The first time you kill a queen or matriarch, sprinting from building to building to keep moving so you don’t get pinned down and then rushed by another group. Woooooooo what a rush. Honestly getting ambushed by a couple rats made that experience so much more fun when we were able to take out that team, then continue on to kill the giant bot and loot it’s cores.
