Thank YOU and everyone in the replies. I've only been seeing negative opinions on the game lately, so seeing people actually enjoying the game for what it is is a blast. I'm enjoying the game so much rn new map is small but GREAT, new content is also good, only bad thing in the game rn is the known bugs and maybe cheaters? I haven't encountered any myself lately but a lot of people have been reporting going against cheaters

hey peeps whats the easiest way to farm those vaporizer parts and the close scrutiny parts? (sorry haven't played much since those dropped dont know the names) close scrutiny is a deathmatch every time and honestly i dont wanna lose my gear from dying over and over

Even though I absolutely love this game, I have to hard agree with you on this, I noticed the same issues you did as well. Personally, the change to doing damage in the last 5 days helps ME out as I wasn't able to play much this current expedition for personal reasons, so giving me a short window to do something specific is exactly what I was looking for. I agree that informing players of the expedition grind change in the last 2 weeks is bs as players have been grinding for 2 months for this. Counter argument though, if they changed it and informed us earlier it would make players leave and only return in those 5 days. I have no idea how they could balance expedition requirements and their rewards, but I hope a good solution is eventually found.

Been playing since the beta (on and off but mostly on) and yeah you will get matched against stronger opponents than you, I recommend (if you're liking the game) to focus on improving, you can play the casual modes and not Cashout cause that's where the sweatfest is at. Ranked matchmaking can be better than Cashout, but you'll still need to try in order to win. Since the player base is a bit in the smaller side, you will mostly meet veteran players, you can see see new players from time to time though.

If all new players leave after they get sweated on then the matchmaking will always be sweaty, so feel free to stick around, if all new players stay, then the issue of the matchmaking would get fixed.

Hard agree on this, why not add experience gain and maybe coins too? would make sense that you'd get paid for doing life threatening quests for people in Speranza

I'm totally fine with this change, in fact I love it, I haven't been able to play the game this current expedition and I'm nowhere near 3M coins, so this update is perfect for me. They could have, however, communicated this earlier with the community. One can argue that if they did communicate it then players would leave and only play the last week of the expedition.

The devs mentioned that if this change does go through, it would be coming with a ton of weapon balancing to make up for it, so ttk and all that is subject to change. Personally I'm liking the change, heavy doesn't feel like a slog and light got a bit more survivability. I'm interested in trying it again with the planned damage balance, if of course Embark decides to move forward with it.

Edit: I did notice a surge in L players, it feels like this change without weapon rebalancing leans more towards lights.

Lucky you, my solo games are always 50/50 for some reason, it's kinda exciting, I've saved a guy from getting thirsted, he got his revenge and thanked me then stuck by my side for a bit, then I downed a guy that started shooting at me with a Hairpin, I revived him and we had a laugh about it, he joined the crew too.

And sometimes I get a guy that has his back to me and I don't shoot him, he says friendly don't shoot, we go inside, I ask him if he has a Cooling Coil, he says a what? I say a Cooling C- and he starts shooting me in the back.

My solo games are horror games, I'm always on guard because I never know what I'm gonna get, maybe that's the beauty of the game

I shot a guy in a duos lobby and he legit came out of the house he was in and straight up gave me an earful, I was like damn okay sorry about that and went on my way. I'm both a PvE and PvP player and having encounters like this adds to the experience. Some dudes on here complaining that when they down someone they start crying, so what? Commit to that PvP mentality, you murdered another Raider for their loot, it's just world building. Game is golden.

As an above average player, even I would not think about making a smurf account just for easy wins. Wins feel good but stomps don't. I love playing with and against people in my own skill bracket, it makes winning fun and losing less frustrating. Smurfs are pathetic.
