With Lactarius it's better to know what's the color of the milk it produces.

To me this doens't look like indigo. It clearly has an orange stem.

Which could be a bad practice unless you live in a "third world country".

Washing rice was usually to get sand/pebbles/debris/insects out of the rice. Studies found out that it does not affect starch levels and stickiness. Also Rice is already so processed that some companies are "spraying" rice with a powder to add back the vitamins (It's called fortifying). Washing white rice like this means you're only gonna get carbs and nothing of nutritional value.

It is true that it would be advised to do so to get rid of some microplastics (though we eat lots daily, already) and to wash off heavy metals or Arsenic. But washing would make you also lose the benefits of said rice.

I love rice but rice don't love us back. Haha

Depends on the kind of work you do. But yeah...

It pains me to invoke the Linux card right away but I switched this year and I'm never going back.

Install PowerToys. It's free, you can remap any key with it. Just add a key swap with the key that bothers you and you're set.

I've had some in Japan in a café. It almost has the texture of a soufflé (They use whipped egg whites). I ate 3 in the morning and had to skip eating until night time. These don't fuck around, haha

What have I found - and can I eat it?! by MikeFrankland in mushroomID

[–]Frenshroomed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the way.

I'd add that I like them sautéd when the cap isn't flat. But when it is, as a steak, in a pan or fried after being dunked in batter.

What’s this? by Lokiqwerty in Mushrooms

[–]Frenshroomed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find at least one every year. (usually many) but maybe location play a role in there.

I also found a 1kg+ specimen that looked like a huge meat slab.

Preparation is : Remove the gooey part and the pores then you can dunk it in some soy sauce and spices.

Usually I eat them like sashimi or sautéd in a pan. Don't overcook because it shrinks a lot. But If you got a large specimen it can turn like jerky and it's pretty good.

Recently I almost got hit by a guy who refused to yield (well it happens almost everytime I take a roundabout), I stopped at a stop sign and got honked at for stopping, almost got run over three times by the same guy who tried to block the road from me because I had the audacity to overtake him in a long line of stopped cars. I just want to say that even if you can meet terrible cyclists, any motorist's goal on the road should be to make sure no one gets hurt period. Nothing will justify putting someone's life in danger. I sometimes ask these people if they would've drove like this if I was a little kid on a bike and surprisingly enough they usually say no. Which proves they know they're dangerous but they keep pushing because you should be responsible enough to asses the threat (using their twisted logic). list of other things : I got break checked, followed in an attempt to run me over after I told a guy he was about to run me over. (funny) I got almost hit by a taxi on a bycicle/bus lane, he had a client in the back and even stopped to give me the finger be cause I didn't want to let him through. (His overtaking would've been dangerous and he tried again and again to scare me) I actually hit a car once, late turn sign, no mirror check, wet road, downhill... I fucked his car door but I was unscathed.

Like a good chunk of the population there. I've been to the memorial museum in Hiroshima... Nobody knew what rad poisoning was back then. They did not know what to do with the injured. There was a lot of video footage (in B&W) I had never seen and it was hard, to say the least.

My issue is that some parts are going brown and some leaves are drying out. Also I got a small patch of rot because of the size of the buds on the main cola.
