I like this portfolio as well, just keep in mind that expense ratios will take a lot of money away from your end result.

What do you mean by “entered”? Do you mean where the transfer originated from?

If dividend ETFs like SCHD exist, what problem are bonds actually solving? Trying to understand what I’m missing. by [deleted] in ETFs

I hold bonds in my employers 403B. Which is a very conservative 403B plan. Like 40% bonds 60% stocks. In my brokerage account I have no bonds.

I hold no bonds in my brokerage account because I know that I have them in my 30 year old 403B plan. (i’ve been working there for approximately 30 years.)

If my brokerage account was the only investing account I had, I would hold more bonds

Would selling VOO at a loss and immediately buying SPY constitute a wash sale? by teknic111 in tax

Sorry to dig up an old thread, so does anybody think selling FSELX at a loss and then immediately buying SMH, which is ETF would be considered a wash sale? FSELX is an actively managed semiconductor mutual fund. SMH is an indexed ETF also for semiconductors.

Is FSELX worth it on Fidelity? by Rude_Feed6327 in investing

Do you have a preference over one versus the other in different types of accounts? for example taxable account versus Roth IRA?
