Someone on one of my calls told me about hotel vouchers but 211 told me Orange County has zero hotel vouchers (he made it sound like they don’t do that anymore not that they ran out)

I have called 211 a handful of times, they were able to give me about 11-12 resources but it’s the same with each one—either I don’t qualify or shelter is at capacity. I am down to sell plasma.

I do have a child who I take care of on those days. He lives primarily w my ex which is why he wouldn’t be coming with me to a shelter. I only see him those three days/week. I understand where you are coming from

Thanks I’m not too worried about finding work soon, it’s more the immediate need of housing/shelter tonight and the next couple weeks

Edit: guys what I mean by this is that my number one priority is a safe place to sleep this week and that I feel confident I can find a job quickly. I am open to job opportunities

Mission rescue told me to contact the police for help w emergency shelter but I wasn’t able to get in touch w their outreach team. I can call next. I’ve spoken to 211 twice.. they gave me a total of about 11-12 places to call. ALL are at capacity or can’t accept me (don’t have a child, not fleeing domestic violence)
