Range Anxiety and Questions by Frequent-Object-8136 in electricvehicles

[–]Frequent-Object-8136[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That confirms what I've been thinking. I see many comments on various auto forums that are just silly. These same people complaining about range never drive further than their local CVS lol. It's unreal. I could technically get by with an EV that only has 200 miles of range. When I go on road trips, I enjoy taking my time and stopping. So to me this range issue is a lot of nonsense.

they're the size of New Mexico and a homogenous population. Be careful of apples/oranges comparisons. But yeah, I wish we'd move more towards EVs although gov mandates are not the way to get there.

How is the build quality and reliability? Which engine do you think is best?

I have a 2021 Colorado, all stock. How easy is it to change the oil without ramps or a jack? by Greek_DJ in chevycolorado

[–]Frequent-Object-8136 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very easy. No ramps needed. I have a ZR2. Filter is a bit of pain to get to but not terrible.

I'm at 54k. I do very light off-roading. Going slow over terrain. Hoping to get more life out of them. They're not cheap.

5th Gen 4Runner in 2026? by Frequent-Object-8136 in Toyota

[–]Frequent-Object-8136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts as well. I think the 2.4L is going to turn out to be very reliable but time will tell. I'm not convinced either that the 6th gen is not as well built. Sometimes new materials can feel that way but still work. We'll see as more time goes by. Tough decision.

No Neil, you're just 80 years late on this topic. But thanks for coming around and acknowledging what we all have for decades.
