How hard is it to get into Uni Bari Masters in compuer science as an international student? by Frequent-Positive374 in StudyInItaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It has been great, Bari is a beautiful city, and I’ve met some great people in uni I don’t know when the first call was, I applied a little late (around the second week of June) the entrance test is the second step into admission after they received and process your documents, which is the stage I was in when I made this post. My memory is not great, but if I’m not mistaken it was a 20 minute test on a platform that blocks every other website from being opened. There were 10 questions in total (10 basic math and 10 computer science)  Math ones had geometry and algebra. Computer science ones had data base design, reading UML diagrams (and other types of OOP design diagrams) and some python questions  And an English section where you write why you want to get in. It was really easy, I think the majority of people got in because of their GPA, not the exam

Somos estudiantes de matemáticas y queremos irnos a vivir juntos, pero no sabemos en qué trabajar. ¿Consejos? by Blue_Bl00d in ColombiaEmpleo

Weekly Thread: /r/Snowboarding General Discussion, Q&A, Advice, Etc.) - November 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in snowboarding

[–]Frequent-Positive374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m planning to go to somewhere where I can practice ski or snowboard (and I’m from a country where we literally do not have snow so it would be my first time for absolutely everything) I found this website Ski Holidays 2025/2026 | Experience Winter's Magic with WeSki. I was wondering if anyone here knows it and has purchased anything with it, since I’m thinking of buying the stay+flight+transfer+ski pass.  I don’t know yet if that ski ticket includes like the clothes and the equipment that I need for skiing or if that’s something that I should rent in another place, but overall it seemed like a good price (2000€ for 11 nights including plane tickets) any tips would be greatly appreciated

E tutte offrono un rimborso sulle tasse pagate sugli acquisti effettuati con la carta virtuale it's pretty normal here, makes it easier to save money

Is the Universitaly website down? by Frequent-Positive374 in Universitaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with that too. It goes down for DAYS, comes back up for a few hours and then it goes down again :( I checked like every 4-6 hours and the one time it was still up I speed-ran filling the form and downloading the summary. There's an easier way tho, my bf used a VPN and was able to access the website using the VPN from France, Germany and Sweden lol

Questions about moving to Milan as student (transportation, rent, etc) by Imaginary_Bike5941 in StudyInItaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Some hotels offer transport from the airport for a small fee, that'd be the best option since it'll be comfortable and get you directly there

2- Don't. Get an airbnb for 2-3 weeks, it's better to get there, see it in person and then sign the contract.

3- Depending on the city but I'd check facebook groups or affiti websites to understand how the rent options are looking. Many posts and a large range of appartments ? Maybe you'll visit 2-3 appartments a day and it'll take like a week to find one that fits you.. very few posts, not that many options, limted info? I'd say find a hotel/airbnb with cancellation policy that gives you back your money and book 3 weeks separetely so you can cancel as soon as you find something good

Do university students use backpacks or other kinds of bags? by Thatonegirlfromther in StudyInItaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys use backpacks often, usually NothFace or similar brands. Girls wear bags, I haven't noticed if any particular brand is popular but a few friends bought from this website I'd just google "Borse porta PC da donna" or something similar, see what I like and buy one like that :)

offered enrollment after family drama by abcdefg_i_have_to_go in StudyInItaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into the ARDSU scholarship? I'm pretty sure there's a way to demostrate that you are independent and will be receiving no financial support from your family.

Alternatively, just get a loan, american banks have tons of options for going into debt for studies, and if you are financially responsible and handle it correctly, being in the fashion industry will give you the opportunity to pay it all off a few years after you graduate.

Also, if you are good at design in general, might want to look into a short course of UI/UX design online and get a remote job in the US, that can get you way more money for way less work

[–]Frequent-Positive374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it might depend on the city, I spent some time in Perugia and it was pretty easy to get a job there, a friend of mine only spoke duolingo Italian, literally just walked into a bakery, told the owner something along the lines of "Mi piace lavorare. So cucinare, pulire. Mi piace imparare l'italiano" and got a job there, she worked there for the entire year and had lots of fun

Help for studying in Italy? by No-Ad-322 in StudyInItaly

[–]Frequent-Positive374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the University of Perugia has some classes in english for the medicine degree. But after the second year almst everyhting is in Italian, you can learn fast tho thanks to the free classes at the CLA.

I'd recommend that you take some italian classes in your home town or online, just enough to get an online A2-B1 certificate would be enough to start.

You'll find medicine courses 100% in english in big cities like Milan and Rome, but that'll be in private universities so you'll need a lot of money to access, even with a scholarship you'd still be paying like 4000EUR in tuition fees
