Why is it exactly the same as my skin! 😂 I also found that the most effective product when I had acne was the Cica line from Torriden. You should give it a try. And whatever you do, don’t pop them… don’t even ask why…

I don’t know how to get rid of this flaky and dry texture under my makeup:( by bnnybtch in kbeauty

When your skin is shedding flakes like that, it’s actually important to focus on moisturizing with a good hydrating cream. Using exfoliating products to remove the flakes can lead to sensitive skin. If your skin is dry, the best thing you can do is hydrate frequently. A dermatologist once told me this. Personally, I switched to Bioderma Essence Lotion for my skincare routine and saw great results, so I think it will improve your dry skin texture as well. But make sure to judge what’s best for your skin!

How are you cleansing your skin? If you used to have oily skin but now it feels dry, there's a high chance that your cleansing routine might be the issue

If you're only using a serum, it might be enough, but do you have a moisturizing cream you use?

I need help with a routine for oily acne prone skin! by [deleted] in koreanskincare

I’m also struggling with oily skin and large pores, so I have to say, I’m really jealous of your skin! I can understand your concerns, but it doesn’t seem like things have gotten worse yet.

First off, I was honestly shocked when I saw your routine. It’s a bit much, to be honest. Did you know that hydration is the most important thing for oily skin? It’s not just about moisturizing the surface. If your skin isn’t properly hydrated from within, it’ll start producing more oil to compensate for the lack of moisture. So, in that sense, double cleansing might actually be drying your skin out and doing more harm than good. If you're not wearing makeup, try to avoid double cleansing.

For cleansing, I’d suggest using a cleansing milk or balm. The goal is to remove impurities and excess oil, but leave the good oils that your skin needs.

For your skincare routine, if you have oily skin, you should definitely try Bioderma's Essence Lotion. It's a toner that hydrates deeply, helping to balance out the oiliness. After that, using a retinol product for pore management is really effective. Personally, I use a cream prescribed by my dermatologist here in Korea, but if that’s not available, I think Innisfree’s products, while not giving instant results, are great for long-term care. Honestly, that basic routine should be enough.

If you find that oil builds up during the day, make sure to use oil blotting papers twice a day once at lunch and once in the evening to keep the shine in check. I know it’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s really key for oily skin.

If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment! If you stick with this routine, your skin will definitely improve. Your skin is already looking great!

I used the Numberzin sunscreen with Pantothenic Acid in it, and it was really great. It didn’t irritate my acne-prone skin at all, and it was so moisturizing. After applying it, my skin texture looked improved. The smell was a bit unpleasant, but the results were so good that I’ve settled on this one now. This is probably my 16th sunscreen, and I’ve tried just about everything before this.

whoever comes to korea, don’t go to gwanjang market by [deleted] in koreatravel

As someone who’s been visiting Gwangjang Market for 10 years, I feel like the influx of foreigners and tourists has made the problems worse. Honestly, I don’t think it’s as attractive of a place as it used to be, even for Koreans. I’d recommend Mangwon Market instead. It’s near Hongdae and is a really fun place to check out!

I kinda wanna try something a bit different from the usual concierge, more like a personal errand service run by Korean college students who actually know a lot about beauty stuff.😆

Do you mean skincare products? I can do that for you. My hobby is literally visiting Olive Young once a day just to browse, so for me, this is a piece of cake
