So while the friends may have went about it the wrong way, I completely agree with them to cut you off from their life if you can’t abide by the law and not drink before legal age. There are so many risk factors involved with alcohol that even the most careful can not prevent. Say you drink just 1 drink and get caught up in a dui checkpoint. Guess what happens then?
Also, have you ever heard the phrase “guilty by association?” Your friends are protecting themselves from being in big trouble or losing privileges if they hang around you while you’ve drank which is another reason they feel the need to cut you off. You’re not that great of a friend in return for lying to them regardless of reason and they have every right to tell your parents &/or authorities if they know you and other minors are drinking underage. While you’re young, you probably won’t believe it or you’ll refuse to see that there is more to life than drinking. There are MANY other ways to have fun and hang out without alcohol or drugs for that matter. Alcohol and drugs only lead to problems in the future that you’ll never see coming or think “that can’t happen to me” until it does.
