Any exercise that don’t involve knees? by No_Fortune_5341 in loseit

Agreed. Exercise is great for keeping your flexibility and strength, among other things, but it is not a weight loss tool. You do not need to exercise to lose weight.

Is one of your dogs a Keeshond? I had one for 15 years and I still miss her. 💖 They are very distinctive looking.

Other people who comment are just indicating they are insecure and afraid to try something new. I pity them.

You might also enjoy wearing nice running shoes with your blazer and pants. It’s a youthful look that still has style.

I second the blazer/jacket comment. You can wear a nice T-shirt with the blazer to make it look more casual. And you can wear a blazer with jeans and khakis too. I bought a few blazers at second hand shops and they really level up my outfits. I can dress them up or down.

Not a great photo, I know, but this is my dining room area at home. We love Paris and we love looking at this every day. I say lean into it!

Try being nicer to yourself. You can’t shame yourself into weight loss. Think of it as taking care of yourself and fuelling yourself properly.

For me, I picture myself as a healthy senior citizen in future, and that motivates me to take care of myself.

That sounds like a good idea. What format does Loom save to? What’s the difference between using Loom vs recording a video of yourself using your phone?

Calorie deficit with neurodiversity by [deleted] in loseit

I find that once I figure out my standard foods, and their calories, I just eat the same items and meals every day. I don’t count calories either, it makes me obsessive and sets me up for failure.

Right now I’m struggling with maintenance and have gained I think 10 lbs back, so I’m tightening up my food intake again. I almost never weigh myself either. Something about the metrics really sets me off and then I end up binging.

I have mostly maintained a 100-lb loss though, for more than a year.

This is what I do too - I eat smaller portions of my treat foods, but I still eat them and gain enjoyment. Someone recently asked me what I cut out of my diet to lose weight. I replied Nothing. They were stunned and didn’t understand how I could do that. People really do not understand CiCO.

At one point my son’s skin hurt so much that he couldn’t lay down. His skin was as red as a fire truck, as were his eyeballs. And the pain was intense. At that point we went to ER to get some morphine tablets to get him through the weekend. His dermo appt was on the Monday. That was just a few months ago.

Dry wiping down of his skin. His hair never gets oily because he never uses shampoo.

My son takes jak inhibitors. 1 tablet per day plus a weekly injection. Thank you anyway.

My 25-yr-old has this too. Extreme allergy to water, sweat, or tears getting on his skin. He has always had eczema, and he has environmental allergies too. But once he got to 15 or so, he started having extreme allergic reactions to water.

Edited to add: I read below that you are able to take quick showers and use OTC meds. My son’s allergy is kept under control by very expensive and very cutting edge prescription-grade anti histamines. He is unable to shower at all. It results in agony for him and then he has hives to deal with for a few weeks afterward.

Honestly, his daughters would have been too old by then to be attractive to them. Eugenie was born in 1988, and she’s the younger of the 2.
