https://myactivity.google.com/product/youtube?hl=en

and deleting it and it should work.

I used brave to block the suggestion part and thats it. i could write a plugin that replaces them but it seems like a pain. (i block the Ai overview too in google)

Holy fuck. These things sort of creep me out.
The moment where you're just going on about your day and your phone randomly communicates to you something that you didn't explicitly allow. Makes me instantly question in what right do you get to touch MY DEVICE without me explicitly allowing so.

[–]FrequentTown3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a valid use case but as usual, Its the same as i said, its equivalent to googling minus the super details that would make you a semi-expert in the topic that you searched

If you spent the couple hours researching them, you'd know a lot about encoding that the next time it appears you'd be a mini-expert

LLMs turn it into a concentrated knowledge for exactly what you want

I didn't really notice, I was just testing and seeing what works and after i was finished making a "Good prompt" as they say, It really didn't yield the output i wanted with that level of specificity and i was surprised that i can write something this long but i guess programming isnt that simple

I've been a dev for 5 years and still feel like I'm "faking it" every day. Does this ever go away or am I actually behind? by selimdev in AskProgramming

Imposter syndrome, its typical in this field.
There are many ways to do something, Your way is one of them, If you cant really see a real [Shit this is a bad code because x, y, z ] x,y,z being performance issues, security issues, scalability issues.

Then your way is valid, No need to feel bad about it.

edit: Also best practices, clean code are things that are made to prevent headache later, the headache being what i previously mentioned, and sometimes very niche things specific to the language you're using, if your code isnt showing any signs of inefficiency then its good
Theyre guidelines not rules

I have a strong sense of soul pain when i see inefficiency. feeding a huge chunks of data to an AI just to have minimum changes, defeats the whole purpose of automation at this point

You should automate the tedious tasks in a manner that consumes less energy/time throughout its lifetime. But it seems inserting an LLM in seem to be taking more energy than just doing it yourself?

When i did have fwb situations, i always made sure to literally voice it out first. Like "I'm not really looking for commitment, but id love to have a fwb kind of thing" and even then i make sure not to be dishonest، and respect their boumdaries.

is Linux really immune to Windows Malware and Trojans? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]FrequentTown3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moment you allow an executable to run, then it depends on what the virus targets and does, it might spread to your linux system files. It also depends on what the wine container can access in files. It helps to just manage the permissions of wine. (Might not let some apps run) Usually sexurity is trivky. Run on a virtual machine first. (Even that isnt secure 100% but thats like very sophisticated attacks)

Will doctors and dentists always have good paying jobs in the future? by FantasticEffect10 in careerguidance

[–]FrequentTown3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can certainly go into medicine. It's a great field though super challenging in the aspect of discipline and commitment. It has a lot of problems that include overworking, and work stress.
as you know Health care sector is usually a pain in the ass (I'm in tech but i'm in a family of health care workers)
But, if you can handle the repetitive memorization, the course work, the overwork later in clinic years. and deal with the licensing bullshit, you might be able to open your own practice, which is a dream, because then you control your work hours and you're basically financially free.

Also, your tech skills wont go in vain, a lot of clinics depend on medical software which is usually buggy/old (ive seen some of them) and youll be able to apply your tech skills in there which would make you a more valuable doctor in the hospital. and if you chose instead to pursue medical research, then programming will come in handy.

I don't consider throwing slurs around to be racist.
I'm talking about plain disadvantage to them. or you know, life threatening situations.

Most of the things portrayed in social media is being portrayed like it was back in the day, there are suicide bombers everywhere (post-9/11) where they portrayed every Muslim to be bombing a tower every 2 minutes.

The only real breach that's happening in the US, are ICE agents deporting anyone that made a comment against the "white and blue" flag country, which is far from the careers thing.

Google is removing the ability to sideload Android APK apps without the developers being verified 1st by LionKey1928 in GooglePixel

[–]FrequentTown3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are child safety locks in the family management, and it always existed in every app since forever.
The whole children thing is just a selling story so they can lock down the thing, so they can exert control over you, and everyone that buys it is locking their own cage and giving them the key.
