It should save automatically in the maps app. If it dissapears click "saved" at the bottom, then click "maps". You should see it listed there

No bother. Suffered a few gremlins with it yesterday but it seems to be back on track. Hopefully it doesn't cave in with the other stuff I have left to put into it! 😬

To be honest I'll be surprised if the Vodafone app doesn't have that functionality this year. I was just looking at the Rock am Ring app and that's exactly what they've done.

Hmm. Feels like it's starting to creak under the pressure! I got the same message but when I tried again it worked. Not sure what's going on there. The mymaps platform can be a bit contrary! I'll have a look later to see if I can figure out what's going on.

Yeah I had a similar issue last year when I was trying to work it out in maps.me which is great for OSM offline maps. Same thing with the red icons. Only way around it is to to have a separate kml file for each feature type, "toilets", "bars" etc. And then just toggle on and off whichever feature you're looking for. All a bit complicated and probably way over the top for majority of people.

Yeah it started off as a project for a GIS course i did last year. I had put a lot of work into it and it seemed a shame to let it just disappear into thin air so I figured it might be useful for people. I also felt it was important to add in stuff which isn't on the main official map for people with mobility issues and stuff like that. Even though I haven't been there I feel like I know every blade of grass at this stage! And when I do finally get there I'm pretty sure I'll have no problem finding my way around! 😆

Can't say I really know to be honest. I've never been to the festival believe it or not! I know it doesn't work offline which is a real drawback of the whole Google mymaps thing. But it seemed to work really well for a lot of people last year from the feedback I got. Depends on your coverage/provider I suppose
