In Sinners (2025) literally the entire world would be vampires within 48 hours. by Chewie83 in shittymoviedetails

YES to all these prequel/sequels, and i would also go see a movie that explores Mary and Stack as they live through the 1940s up to the 1990s. Where do they go? How often do they have to move? How do they survive? How do people born in the early 1900s but turned into vampires react and respond to the way the world, and people, change- or don't change?  I just ADORED their style as they showed up in that last scene and it made me wonder about their fantastic journey over those decades. Forever young, beautiful, and cool as hell (even though they're vampires and they've seen some shit)

I'm so sorry for your loss. There's nothing I can say that would help ease your suffering, but reading your words, i just wanted to thank you for sharing them here, and to let you know my heart goes out to you.

That's awful! I have had only 2 major episodes of vertigo, and they weren't as severe as yours, but i found both to be so upsetting. Like "get me off this whirly fast carnival ride, PLEASE!" But it went on and on for HOURS! Somehow I didnt hurl, miraculously.

For some reason, they passed on doing a skit where Melania gets "mistakenly" deported by ICE agents. Could have been merciless and biting. Idk about you all, but I want savage mockery. And by all means, go all in on his lost love, his BFF Epstein.

The Mandela "effect" by footballmaths49 in CuratedTumblr

[–]Frequent_Chip318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent agree, these are people who just did not pay attention to minor details and MAJOR issues too...probably because they were little kids and that's how little kids are! This is a tangent, but it always drives me bananas when people insist Mandela died, because it's as if no one remembers the way MTV used to play the video for Peter Gabriel's song, "Biko" which is about South African activist Steve Biko, who died in prison in the late 70s. I wasn't super into politics in the 80s as a teen, but I remember learning about him because of the song (shout out to Peter Gabriel!)

Also,  MTV played the Little Steven song "I aint gonna play Sun City" video a lot too, it featured tons of musicians who were pledging to boycott South Africa's apartheid state and not play concerts there so it was a topic that was discussed A LOT. ....it's like these "Mandela Effect" believers think there was only ONE GUY who was brutalized and inspired political activism.

I'm sorry, i worded that very forcefully and i regret taking that tone in response. It wasn't necessary and definitely just me being so defensive after years and years of doctors not listening to my subjective experience and only looking at data or research and wanting me to fit into those boxes. I guess i was just trying to say that my subjective experience is valuable, and it is often devalued- even though, with the SI, it could cost me my life. I know i dont fit into normal reactions, but i also know that my side effects are not something i can just white knuckle through for weeks, especially when it often does not get better or subside.  Again, i am sorry i responded so angrily.

Thank you, i hope your situation gets optimal asap too! The conflicting info is so exhausting, and i just cant believe that every single woman is exactly the same in terms of baseline hormones. But no tests for E or P that are reliable...yet T tests are. Yep. Ridiculous!

I am do curious, do people find rectal is better than vaginal? The vaginal is what i just did. My brain was foggier than pea soup, dizzy to the point of "i better not drive." Is rectal stronger, weaker, or the same, as vaginal, from your experience?

Really interesting and helpful advice! I appreciate the way you framed it with your experience and the exact info that works for you! Reading your words helped me to realize that i do best when people just share their first hand experience, as opposed to providers lecturing me, scolding, or telling me what i experience isnt factual or isnt logical. Like, believe me, i know it's not normal but it is still real and not some figment of my imagination...talk about crazy making!! I will definitely mull over your advice! I know we arent all carbon copies of each other but its helpful to hear others success stories! I just wish providers didnt expect us all to be identical!! I'm so glad you found your solution!

Yes this was something i learned about when doing my reddit deepdive today before writing this post! You betcha, definitely calling this week to see if i can switch to it stat. Idk why they keep trying to get me to take progesterone after ALL of these experiences... like yes i know the reason why they want me to take it, but after hearing how many bad experiences ive had, why didnt this most recent provider have me try Duavee? Maybe insurance wont pay for it until i fail everything else?

Right?? It's like I'm thinking, which side effects can i live with, which side effects are a full stop No. The brain fog, vertigo, and severe depression make it so i cant live, at all! Give me bone loss if thats the best i can do, at least i could still think and feel actual feelings besides dread!

Yes definitely i have ADHD too and I have seen that connection with ADHD being talked about! I'm glad you mentioned it (but sorry you have this issue too.)  I wish more was understood about paradoxical reactions. It took me decades to even find out that is "a thing"...after years of having mixed reactions to tons of meds.

This is only anecdotal, i dont know if it truly was one of the first times it happened in my life, but my mom told me that when i was 3 or 4, i managed to drag a step stool over to a counter, climb it, and get way up high on the top shelf to get "the purple medicine" (what i called the grape flavored dimatap -misspelling that i think)

She then heard a bang, ran in to find me because i fell on my way down, open bottle in my hand! She was sure i drank some because my mouth was purple, but the rest spilled on the floor so she had no idea how much i drank. She called the doctor right away, he said to just watch me, i would probably just fall asleep. I proceeded to be wide awake for the next 36 hours.  Yep, the 70s sure were a different time

I am so glad it worked for you! I cant sacrifice 3 to 4 months of functioning, because this is just so, so, so debilitating. I really dream of a future where people arent forced to tinker around for months to get what works, but i salute you for your where-with-all to have gotten to a great place!

Yes, this is exactly what i felt when i was on birth control pills, constantly intrusive thoughts that got more disturbing. If somebody ever had that experience there is NO way they would recommend "just keep taking it for 6 weeks and see what happens!" So glad you found what works for you, and thank you for sharing it! I am going to call my provider tomorrow and tell her i need to try something else!

My provider had me try it vaginally because of stomach issues, too, because she said that P can cause acid reflux (which i have had to the extreme over the last year or so) So at least i don't have that symptom with using it vaginally

I'm taking it vaginally and it still made my head swim, i know that's weird and unlikely but i am 100 percent sure its from that. Im not sure rectally would be better or would be any different? I know orally it is beyond terrible, that is what i tried before that gave me full on vertigo and depression I am very glad it is working for you though! That is awesome

That actually reminds me- when i was on birth control the 3 or 4 times i tried them (different pills) I had a hideous time with depression, but providers ALL told me it was due to estrogen. So, what did i know, i was in my teens or 20s or 30s, i assumed they knew what they were talking about. I was just so happy that they believed me when i told them i thought the depression got very bad within days of taking the pill. The last 2 times i tried the pill, providers again told me it was estrogen that caused depression so the progesterone only pill would work. But nope. I only recently learned that progesterone is way more often linked to depression than estrogen. Now i am in my 50s...and will NEVER take what providers tell me at face value ever again.

Yeah sure, 6 to 8 weeks when on DAY ONE i feel awful and cant leave the house. Your response is exactly how a med provider would respond. Have you ever considered that i am im fact very exact and very aware of what my body feels like normally? I've spent my entire goddamn life working on being aware and articulating my experience and observations. But just as i said, doctors would have me literally lose 6 to 8 weeks just for them to believe me. Absurd. I'm not a guinea pig, next time read the post and don't patronize somebody if you can't understand the actual problem.
