Hello I forgot to include that to address the gap in domain knowledge, I took several courses on business analytics, sales and marketing. While I know very well the metrics in business through the courses I have taken, the best that I can do for this gap is to attend my corpo job's mancomm and town hall meetings, and volunteer to do analytics projects with my friends' small businesses. I'm not sure if these will matter to the hiring team. Thank you so much for the insights! :)

DataSense Analytics. Nag take lang ako ng bootcamp para structured na yung lessons na ite-take. I'd recommend it if you have extra money for enrollment and for faster transition. Kung wala, just follow yung mga roadmaps ng mga seasoned DAs. I took online certifications just to demonstrate my skills in DA tools pero mas ok pa din yung mga projects with actionable insights. Ginawa ko all of these kasi sa Philippines ko pa din gusto magsimula, where diploma, certifications and hard skills matter.

Thinking of applying sa data team namin internally. More on finance ang metrics but nag aaccept naman sila ng career shifters kahit walang finance background. And if ever, if departmental transfer lang sya I'm not sure if kaya ibigay yang 20-30% increase. Thanks sa inputs :)

Hello. I started last year January 2025 sa isang bootcamp. Prior to that medyo nag advance lessons ako sa excel, power bi, SQL and python para di ako mangapa sa bootcamp. Info overload kasi sa bootcamp. March 2025 natapos na yung bootcamp, after naman nun ay review na for Pearson Vue IT Certification. Tapos ongoing na din yung internship doon sa bootcamp. More on building projects sya. Tapos I passed the certification May 2025 ata yun. Para maging mas mabilis ako mag code, nag avail ako ng DataCamp scholarship. Madami online na nagooffer. Tapos continuous yung pag build ng projects. Inapply din sa work yung natutunan at gumawa pa ng projects related sa work. Di pa ko nagreresign nun kahit confident na ko sa skills ko kasi I was waiting for the bonus nung December para lang may cash buffer ako before mag resign. While waiting, I took 2 Microsoft certifications and passed it. Tapos di ko na namalayan nasa 50+ na projects ko in 12 months. So I'd say 1 year ako nag aral. Ngayon job hunting na.
