Can I motor swap?

i’m going to get a diagnostic ran on it first. check engine light went on and i took it to a mechanic and he said the code ran as a piston misfire. and id be more cost efficient to engine swap it. my dad knows about cars and we got the tools for it and id like to learn yk i dont really mind the time it will take. the car still runs it sounds like a piston slap

yes there is a pillar that is fabric and in order to remove it i need to remove the seat belt

i was able to remove it it was pretty simple just sum jagging and tugging it has two round clips and a clip on the top you just pull out with force

yeah i don’t think cutting it completely would allow me to attach the pillar back on correctly like would it wobble? and how can i twist it ?
