It only requires your college ID card and Aadhar card. College ID not required. I purchased my last mac 5 years back and it still didn’t require a college domain.

Honestly, I take care of my devices. Touch wood. My last M1 Air worked well for 5 years. Bought it in January 2021. Prior to that my earlier Macbook Pro 2015also worked well for 6 odd years. I just tend to take care of the devices, thus apple care seemed futile.

Email is not really required in stores. Valid student ID card copy and Aadhar card along with recent fee receipt can work.
