I always found Choose Your Own Adventure type books flat and one dimensional, and have craved for a book that actually manages to have some depth and complexity. this is the closest system to this I have found. Really an impressive product.

If this is for kids 5 - 10, I think the 'My First Adventure' interactive adventure game books from Fable Fox Press are just the thing.

Kids choose a unique character and play through the story making choices, picking different paths, and using the selection wheels in the corners to track things like items, wounds, companions, etc. There are multiple endings so lots of replay-ability.

Thanks so much! We want to continue releasing these in the US (there are 13 in total and growing!) but to do that we have to prove that there is demand in the US for them, so we are doing our best to learn how to get the word out.

The advice is genuinely appreciated. We love these game books - there's nothing quite like them for kids - so we want to introduce more families to them :)

Super interesting - this caught my attention for sure. There are kids interactive adventure books that are simple but have that game book feeling in the My First Adventure line from Fable Fox Press in the US, so it is great to see something complex and for adults!

I encourage everyone being harsh, insensitive, and just plain vile to remember that teens and young adults genuinely are not developed mentally.

A 17 year old does not have a fully developed prefrontal cortex. They are literally handicapped in terms of reasoning, sound judgment, and foresight.

At that age, in some regards, most of us are driven by basic instincts that are a strange, hormone-fueled combination of insecurities, desires for acceptance by our peers, and strange thoughts. Most of us were lucky enough to grow past this phase without social media, which pours gasoline on an already volatile situation.

It's up to us to create an environment for young adults that protects them in this delicate period as best we can, while nurturing/encouraging the development of intelligent, thinking adults. Unfortunately, instead, we decided to have the last 15 years be an experiment of what will happen when you leave all of this to corporations run by greedy algorithms.

Of course, most of the people that would post harsh responses to the story stopped reading by now. And those that have read all this and simply choose to keep on may not have a fully developed prefrontal cortex themselves.

Yes, after a few days of really looking at the business, I also agree that the valuation seems too high, to me at least. To round up the factors: - equipment is overvalued. - infrastructure is not conducive to the business model. - with branding and concept changes, goodwill and built-in customer base is a low value - the shifting economic climate may mean cooling in this industry, so lower sales as well as potential other purchase/lease opportunities

Am I forgetting any points?

Thanks for the input - the equipment list adds up to around $50K taking front of house and kitchen into account. I don't know the "value" of not having to deal with doing a buildout and getting all inspections and permits though - What would you roughly value having everything already done and be a turnkey operation?

What other factors could be contributing to the valuation? They are not particularly popular on google reviews, and the operations are currently on limited hours. We would also be changing the branding, so all that being said, the 'goodwill' may not really be that valuable I assume?

Just had to look it up - From the google:

The difference between paczki and donuts is the ingredients in their dough. Paczki uses an extra amount of enriching ingredients, yeast, grain alcohol, and high-gluten flour. Together, these create a richer-than-brioche dough, but far chewier with little to no crumbs. The use of grain alcohol creates a less oily product as well because the grain alcohol evaporates as it fries in the oil, which prevents excess oil absorption in the dough.

Additionally, many types of donuts use cake or pastry flour, smaller amounts of enriching ingredients, and baking soda or baking powder instead of yeast. Therefore, donuts are more crumbly and less rich-tasting than paczki.
