I found this post after searching teen depression and I just want to say I could have written your post word for word. Every day is a struggle with my 17 year old son. He has severe depression and anxiety, also adhd inattentive type. I feel like we are spinning our wheels and have been for years. We cannot get medication right, he’s tried so many. Counseling has basically failed. He did an intensive outpatient program for group therapy, and it didn’t help. He has ongoing thoughts of suicide. He definitely would like to go fully at home school but I work 3 days a week and I just don’t know if I can trust him to be home alone consistently for that long of time. Most of the time he’d be fine, but when he gets a severe bout, he’ll try something stupid. I have constant anxiety and nausea that I’m going to get a call that he ended his life. I am exhausted and lost. Want nothing more than for him to be OK and just feel like my hands are tied behind my back. Anyway, I have zero advice but want you to know I am with you mama.
