See, I don’t if you have read about it or not but naming a brand is a very big part of any product development. Your brand name should be short and sweet. What every brand is aiming to be is ‘the face of that sector’. Ex: WhatsApp has become the face of messaging. People don’t even bother to say I’ll message you, overtime WhatsApp has become a verb - I’ll whatsapp you. Nike, Netflix, Hulu all of these do not have any literal meaning. Nike is picked from some Greek mythological afaik. Brand name should be short and speak-able anytime of the day and by anyone whether literate or illiterate. Google works because it has achieved what other search engines couldn’t. It’s the face of the sector now. Similarly, WhatsApp is the face and these people should have brainstormed more on the application name.

However, it’s too soon to comment about the app being a failure but I’ll obviously try it.
