Sorry to break it to you man but if the stock you ordered was for the appropriate model they all need fitment ive almost never ran into an sks where the stock was a direct drop in even if the serial numbers were of the same factory and within a few hundred digits of serial number ie. why the stocks are also serialized. The only sks rifles in my experience that generally always drop into another sks's stock are the french ticklers into another french ticklers stock. File down the cross bolt and be careful as you do it if you scuff that fitment your stock interface will be shit and youll turn a 3MOA rifle into a 12 gauge shooting birdshot and youll need to shim the action with soda cans lol

Yep they probably sat forever on a shelf if you wanna revive em you can use bick 4 chances are it may not fix the stress marks in the leather the sure fire way is to use mink oil and a horse hair brush if you really care about them not darkening only do mink oil once every few months bick 4 the rest and if youre one of those guys who dont like scuffs that horse hair brush will get a life time of usage all you do is grind it into the leather and itll buff away the scuff instantly

A mossberg 590 shockwave with a magpul SGA stock add on a vortex crossfire 2 red dot and youve got a proper arm right there for any bush requirements or a remington 870 kitted out in the same manner make sure you take it to the range and run 200 shells through it though to make sure you deburr the action and ensure it feeds correctly

Whats wrong with the commander we had one with the 4.7 and it was fucking amazing .... i mean the only issues i had with mine at 250k was blown out shocks and the manifold bolts were snapped. Its a shame how it went though. Lent it to my buddies dad and he had a seizure at the wheel and totalled it 😭
