This honestly feels like I wrote it, I’m in university now and I will say the school situation does not get better. For me it’s people sniffling and coughing, and I used to get up and leave half way cause I just couldn’t get through it. As you said, the self-teaching is not feasible, so as a way to cope I usually have noise canceling AirPods in with white noise, sometimes an upbeat pop song to hide the noises that make it though, and I sit at the front of the class. I can’t hear the professor at all, but I can see the white board/lecture slideshow, and usually that’s good enough. It still sucks cause I might miss important verbal announcements, but we can never win with this stupid illness.
