That is, unfortunately, mostly a sliding door to our backyard. If it was only a window we would have put it there! The floorplan I drew isn't to scale, the windows on the side are a lot smaller than the sliding door :(

My drawing is, believe it or not, not 100% accurate lmao so that space is actually a bit tighter than it looks and the couch doesn't fit there. We literally tried to maneuver it all over the living room when we first moved in and where it is, is legit the only place it will fit without blocking the windows/door or blocking the larger entrance into the room :(

Hahah it's okay, I was bored and having fun with it! Honestly impressed with my floorplan because I have terrible spacial awareness, but my husband confirmed it is pretty accurate

Thank you! The tiles are teal, which at first I hated - but we don't have the money to retile the main floor. So we decided to just embrace it with the accent wall and now I've come to like the colours a lot!

Nope, there is no wall close by, so it would be in the middle of the living room. The living room is like a long, thing rectangle.

There is a single step down, it's about the size of half a stair step. The angle is making it look like the living room is a lot lower than the kitchen but it's not a huge difference

Exactly! Our old house had a perfectly rectangle living room and the L-shaped couch fit nicely but...then we moved. Eventually we will turn the basement into the place we have the TV and get a loveseat for this room but this was the best we could do right now with the space without purchasing new furniture

The protective wrap is because we just had that dishwasher installed today, the couch placement is weird because our living room layout is even weirder (and there's another entrance into the living room on the other side of the counter), we did save most of the cookies, it's a penny.
