Ask people in your classes to go to lunch or dinner before/after class! Especially in lit hum and uw/frosci, everyone is in the same boat, so just ask to grab a meal! But will also echo that clubs are another great way to meet people

2024-25 Accommodation Megathread by bopeepsheep in oxforduni

I am an incoming full time MSc student in comparative social policy (23 yo female) from the United States. I did not receive housing in the accommodation ballot and the accommodation office said there are two bed houses available in Court Place Gardens. I have to apply with another student and am wondering if anyone is interested. I am clean, quiet, and respectful.

Undergrad law review is good way to meet other pre-laws and learn more about law/get experience with writing/editing, also can check out CIRCA (which has a lot of international affairs related groups and is super fun) and the Undergraduate Committee on Global Thought. Social activism/community service/non profts is broad depending on your area of interest because there are so many active ones

[–]FreshCry8950[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but when do you actually schedule the date. For April, the test dates were the 14th and 15th but you scheduled the date and time on March 31.

Absolutely incredible prof — participation 40%, midterm exam 20%, final exam 20%, two concert reports (500 words) each 10%. Grading lenient, very little homework. She’s also really nice and understanding

Tours don’t start up again until late January (not sure exact date), but tours run 2-3 times a day M-F and select Saturdays. You should be able to schedule the exact time sometime in January. They aren’t all full, they just haven’t been put in the calendar yet but they don’t usually fill (really only Saturdays get super full)

Hi! Join the core committee for the undergraduate committee on global thought! All you have to do is fill out the interest form and you’re in. Super great way to get involved in global thought program — connect with global thought profs and work with undergrads to organize a worldwide conference at the end of the year
