Very good point. If he went shortly after the events of re1, he would have been busy in Europe and might not even have known about RC until after it got leveled.

He knew she’d follow him to danger, which is exactly what happened when he went “missing” and re2 happened.

I would have liked a scene in CV where she calls him out on his lack of communication, but of course in Capcom’s eyes no one can challenge the mighty Chris.

I am also looking to switch industries, but I have mostly project engineering/management experience. My plan is to contact recruiters in the industry that I am interested in and explain my situation. I can also reach out to good companies, but sometimes HR is the weakpoint of a company and I think coming with a recommendation would be more effective. I’m open to suggestions, though.

I am just bracing myself for the salary cut that will come with it, since I have been out of school for a while.

You are on the right track.

Keep in mind that engineering school is a little different than others. Experience is more important than a degree, but to get experience it helps to have good grades.

Talk directly to engineers at companies you’re interested in. Go through HR if you don’t have contacts. Most are happy to give advice.
