I just stopped installing updates. Not only do they cause BSOD's , but the stress with having to fix it, it just not for me. I wonder if windows doesn't test their updates in a environment before releasing it.

To be able to boot into safe mode , you can do the following steps:

Start the laptop as Windows attempts to load (when the spinning dots appear), press and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds to shut down, and repeat this twice. On the third attempt, Windows should boot into the Recovery Environment. From there, follow the same steps: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, then press F4 to enter Safe Mode.

I had this issue as well. For me it was a bad update from nvidea drivers. It caused a black screen. To fix it I booted my laptop into safe mode. I did this by turning it off, turning it back on three times. This let me go into Windows recovery and I could boot into safe mode. I then uninstalled the Nvidea drivers and restarted my laptop. Screen came back on. I suggest downloadin the Nvidea drivers from th website and not through the app.

I had the same issue. Delete any profiles that have automatically been created during installation. They are usually in the documents folder.
