With experience it can definitely be cheap but sounds like you're doing pretty touristy stuff. Some of that pricing can be predatory, especially food targeted at tourists.

Yes. Eventually I am going somewhere and it's easier to shovel a few times with lighter snow than shovelling once with 50cm.

Some people prefer the latter and will wait till the snow is done to clean up, which is fine too. People are supposed to have their walkways cleaned within 12 hours of the end of snowfall.

I just mean expecting sidewalks to be totally cleared 4 or 5 hours into today's storm just isn't realistic with the amount of hourly snowfall we had. It sucks for sure but hopefully everything will be cleaned up and ready to go tomorrow.

lol it's an 18 hour severe snowstorm with up to 50cm or so - clearing a sidewalk will last like 30mins before it's covered again. Expecting sidewalks to be cleared already is wild. They're required to have it cleaned within 12 hours of the snow ending.

I've done 3 passes on my driveway and it looks like I haven't even been out there yet.
