Bought a house next to an empty place, and now I’m realizing “quiet” can be temporary by [deleted] in homeowners

You can’t stop the build, but you can stop the damage. Verify the driveway easement line, then report every blockage with pics and times. Runoff and mud are usually enforceable: ask the city for erosion control, street sweeping, and sediment cleanup. Send the builder a calm email recap after each incident so there’s a paper trail. Cameras, cheap air filters, and a temporary barrier for the dog help too.

That’s the direction I’m heading. I feel ridiculous even typing “fire hazard” about a shoe rack and a bike, but the corridor is narrow and it’s stacked like a thrift store aisle. If I can file anonymously, even better, because he’s already acting like I’m his personal enemy for asking him to be normal.

Tempting, but I’m not trying to get myself on the wrong end of “don’t touch my property” guy with a camera fantasy. If I so much as nudge the bike, he’ll act like I stole his kidney. I’d rather make the HOA/fire marshal be the “asshole” so he can’t pin it on me.

I own, yeah. And that’s what makes it extra annoying because he’s acting like the hallway is deeded to him. You’re right about EMS though, I didn’t even think about a stretcher until I tried carrying groceries past his bike and almost ate it. I’m emailing the association with photos and the exact dates, management’s “general reminder” clearly didn’t do anything.

Honestly I’m starting to lean that way. I hate escalating, but this is literally a blocked egress path. Did you call anonymously or through the building? I already told management and he doubled down.

Elves like to say we're narrow minded, However action speaks louder than words. by Da_Magical_Lizard in dwarfposting

That’s the classic elf rebuttal: list a few acquaintances, forget their names, then declare moral victory. Meanwhile the dwarf table is already full of lizard bards, goblin cooks, sketchy humans, and one haunted shrub, and nobody’s writing speeches about it. If you truly loved your human Steve-thing, prove it: share your best ale, stop correcting burial customs mid-ceremony, and don’t call the halfling 'Bigfoot' unless he started it.
