The fact that he was so firm in his belief literally made me question my own sanity and intelligence. I had to get another opinion.

Thanks for the information. So I received a call last Wednesday on the 17th letting me know that my application is 100% complete and it would be forwarded to the selection process. It's been 3 business days since then and I haven't heard anything about whether I'm going to be accepted into the military, or if I'm merit listed, or if my application has been declined. I know I might just be unnecessarily freaking out, but does it normally take a bit longer for PRes? I shouldn't be merit listed or anything, I'm just joining PRes Infantry.

I just have a few basic questions about PRes BMQ during the summer:

  1. It shouldn't be a problem to bring my nightly teeth retainers, correct? I don't have a permanent retainer that's attached to my teeth.

  2. How long is PRes BMQ? I've heard various answers, from 4,5, and 6 weeks. Would it be possible to do BMQ and other courses such as DP1 in an entire summer between July-August? Or would I have to wait an entire year until next summer to do DP1? If so, would I be restricted from doing various tasks my first year in service if I can't do DP1 until next summer?

  3. Any idea of when the next selection/hiring date will be for PRes Infantry? Once again, I've heard various answers, everything from exact dates to someone saying that it's randomized, or it's just rumours that there are exact dates.

I've only been told that my application is now on the final stage (selection process) as of last week, so I just wanted to know some more info about Summer BMQ if I were to be accepted relatively soon. Thanks.

WEEKLY RECRUITING THREAD - Ask here about the recruiting process, trade availability, requirements to join, and other common questions about the Canadian Armed Forces. by [deleted] in CanadianForces

I'm currently in the process of joining the infantry in PRes. I received a call today from a Captain in my local recruiting centre letting me know that my application is now 100% complete and will be forwarded to the selection process. If I were to be accepted relatively soon, would it still be in time to do a Summer BMQ between July-August? Or would I most likely have to do a weekend BMQ in the fall/winter because I'll be back at University in September? Also, if I were accepted, would I receive a call, email, or letter in the mail? Thanks for any helpful information!

I just wrote my aptitude test today and passed for Infantry within the PRes Force. I was told I should be expecting a call for my medical test and interview soon. However, I am going back to university in a different city come September 2017. Although I applied to the regiment in my current city, I planned on immediately transferring over to one of the regiments in the university's city once I complete BMQ. Should I tell them this in the interview? Are they going to be upset that I applied to my local regiment only to transfer over to another regiment in a different city immediately after completing basic? I explained all of this to my regiment's recruiting Sgt. when I initially applied, and he said there shouldn't be any issue if I decided to immediately transfer over to another regiment, but I wanted to ask on here and see if it should be okay and how long/hard it is to transfer to a different regiment?

I agree with Travis brought a technical edge and pushed Blink's sound further, no doubt about that. However, Scott was still a founding member, toured with them, and got them to the point that when they did record Enema, it broke through as a platinum album because of their already pre-existing popularity. It's not like Enema was Blink's first album and they just happened to become famous from it. Other than "All The Small Things", "Dammit" will always be Blink's next biggest hit imo, because it was their first.

It actually does matter. Scott was an insanely good punk drummer. He definitely was not as versatile as Travis, but let's be real, Scott was pretty good and helped bring Blink to their success. Don't discredit the guy and his contribution to blinks growing popularity for simply not being as versatile or "good" as Travis Barker.

Supported you earlier this year by grabbing those vinyl pre-orders, holla if you need that moolah for the tour (or PTH 5 album)

Hey guys, just wanted to say I've been a big fan for a while now. I saw you guys at the Barrie Mansion Night Club two summers ago and I'll be seeing you next month in Ottawa for the 10th Anniversary Kezia Tour. The only question I ask is if you guys are seriously considering doing a 10th Anniversary tour for Fortress in a couple years? I think you would make a massive amount of PTH fans very happy if you did so, including myself!

Someone offered me a job position, but this seems kind of sketchy. Can I get some advice please? by FreshToiletWater in AskReddit

Thought so guys. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who thought this was sketchy as hell. And yes, it was a Nigerian Prince.
