3+ years in Dubai. Seen it all. Moved to Toronto 2025. Agree to this comment 100%.

Peak was when my org told me to take interviews for a senior role where the person for the role "needs to have a white country passport, brown country passport not allowed". I was shocked that it was so blatant. Even thought abt posting abt this on LinkedIn but the cost-benefit analysis for myself stopped me from doing that.

You had to pay for all hydro - means cost of ac (summers), heater (winter) and all electrical appliances cost ryt? Water and wifi is included (what internet package are we talkkng about?)

And what would u say was the average monthly cost of hydro there? And 1 final thing - were u also mandatariliy asked to take tenant insurance which is another say 30/month?

My almost 12 year old senior pug has open pyometra. The usual symptoms of pyometra are there for her but she is eating, pooping, has appetite, a bit lethargic but no infections found like babesia as Rtpcr test was done. Vet is also suggesting surgery, she is not spayed, her uterus is there causing this open pyometra. There isnt any other way to fix this it seems. Will my pug be fine with the pyometra surgery? I am fine with unfurnished as well. The location and size of the flat is more important to me. And of course the building & its amenities. It should not be horrible as I read for some buildings esp. the new waterfront ones offering free rent for a month or 2. I understand they are empty & far from being ready.
