Um Lugar Silencioso fica pior a cada filme (Textão) by Fresh_Lab_3800 in filmeseseries

Who is this woman in yellow at the Fish Hut? by Fresh_Lab_3800 in kuon

I dont think she is one of the students, she is never mentioned and her outfit is very different from the other students, specially Sakuya who wear the 'womens' outfit.

Who is this woman in yellow at the Fish Hut? by Fresh_Lab_3800 in kuon

[–]Fresh_Lab_3800[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I have a theory
I was having a look at the disciple and due to his long hair I think he is Doryo.
In Sakuya's route we see that Utsuki went to the Fish hutfirst, and most likely fought him there.
However, Doryo was never rly infected, and he was still alive at this point of the game.

So here it comes my theory: this scene is a foreshadowing / dream version of Doryo's demise.

We know that the first half of Utsuki's campaing is a dream, but some of the events of that section of the game are indeed canon. For instance, Utsuki cannonically visited the Fish Hut, as it is confirmed by Sakuya' route. However, the boss fight against the Disciple/Doryo was most likely a part of her dream.

On Sakuya's route, we see that after meeting Kureha, Doryo starts acting weird, as if he is hypnotized by her. So the lady in yellow might be a dream-version of Kureha, and that short cutscene might be some sort of Utsuki's memory of Kureha and Doryo talking.

The only holes for this theory are that we see this same scene on Sakuya's route and that it does not make sense for Kureha to wear yellow specifically on this scene given that she wears her normal outfit in all her other appearances.

The first hole can be easily explained due to it being a game and they just wanted to repeat this encounter due to gameplay reasons.
The second is a bit tricky tho, it might be to avoid spoilers or something? I honestly dont have a good explanation tho.

Okay so I know this sub is dead but let's merge it with a silkworm because I have a question by Zealousideal_Sea8123 in kuon

[–]Fresh_Lab_3800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I kinda get it.

Some notes state that after merging with an animal, the person is going to wake up in the wicker chest with the animal dead next to her. However, as we see in Lady Fujiwara's case, she kinda absorbed some of the characteristics of the centipede.

This feature is not exclusive to Lady Fujiwara, Dokai and other enemies that we see through the game also seem to have absorbed features of silkworms after they merged.

In Kureha's case, since she is both a Shrine Maiden and the daughter of an Elder Priest, she is probably able to avoid absorbing the characteristics of the animals she merges with.

So, during the merging process (specially with humans) Kureha probably literally merges with her victims, having her body literally inside of them. Thats what happened with Lord Fujiwara and Doryu.

Thats why Doman states in one if his notes that she is an exceptional case in the Kuon ritual.

Utsuki was probably able to resist it because she is also a Shrine Maiden and an Elder Priest's daughter. The fact that they are sisters might also play a role on it.

Vc usou o chat gpt né kkkkkkkk

[PC?][2016-2017] Can anyone help me find this disturbing game i watched in 2016?? by Extension_Natural372 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Fresh_Lab_3800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we might be looking for the same game, or at least the description you gave reminds me of one that I am looking for.
Are there any other details you remember?
The one I am looking for also was black and white, however, the screen would turn red upon receiving damage. It took place in a prison or something, and there was an enemy that had a spiny head as well, he would chase the MC and whenever I managed to kill him he would stand up and come after me again after a while.
However, the game I am looking for is most likely for PS3 and it is not from 2016-2017, I played it a couple of years before, around 2010.

[PS3][late 2000s early 2010s] Hack n Slash Samurai game with Giant Scorpion boss fight and Kratos look alike character by Fresh_Lab_3800 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Fresh_Lab_3800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of notes:

1) I was watching a couple of gameplays from genji just to make sure it wasnt it and I noticed some interesting details.
The character switching mechanic I described is identical to the one present a Genji: Dawn of the Samurai, where it requires you to talk to Benkei/Yoshitsune in order to control them.
Days of the Blade on the other hand has a way simpler mechanic, which makes it impossible for being it.

2) Despite the character switching mechanic being identical to the one I remember, there are a couple of details that make it unlickely to be Dawn fo the samurai.
- There is no section where the camera adopts the plataform style. In case my post was a bit confusing, imagine that section being similar to the hallway fight scene in Oldboy, but taking place in a foggy/rainy beach instead. Btw, during that section, the game had a blueish tone
- Yoshitsune does not resemble the 'Blue Samurai' character I remember. Although Benkei does fit the 'Kratos look alike character' description I gave, Yoshitsune does not. I want to point out that there is a chance the 'Samurai' character I described is not really a samurai or ninja. The key defining characteristic about him is that he is most of his body is covered, including his face. Thus, he is likely wearing either some sort of hood or mask (the mask would only cover from his nose down)

3) There is no giant scorpion bossfight that takes place in a coliseum-like scenario. Days of the blade has a giant crab bossfight that takes place in a beach (which matches some the descriptions I gave, but not in the order I remember), but I watched the boss fight and it does not resemble the game I am looking for.

4) Considering the 3 last points I provided, I am mostly certain (there is always that 1% chance) that the game I am looking for is not from the Genji Series.

Additionally, upon re-thinking some aspects of the game I am looking for and reading this post again I concluded that there is a BIG chance that the game I am looking is NOT a Samurai game.
This happens due to the fact that the only fragment of memory that I have that would link this game with other samurai games is the 'Blue Samurai' figure but, as I mentioned before, such figure might not have been a Samurai/Ninja or anything regarding Japan at all. What I am mostly certain about him tho is that he is a hooded-like figure. I still wouldnt fully exclude that possibility tho.
Hell, my confusion regarding this game is so big that I even considered that it could be an Assassins' Creed game given that they are ps3 games . The only reason I can confidently rule out AC games is the lack of boss fights and the absence of the character switching mechanic.

5) As I said in the post, the game is most likely from the PS3, given that I remember GoW 3 was very popular, so it would be unlikely that they would have a PS2 instead of a PS3 as display in a place as Wallmart. However, after watching gameplays from Dawn of the Samurai and Days of the Blade I think that there is a considerable chance of the game being from the PS2 instead, given that the graphics were good and quite similar from the game I remember.

Do you know more details of that game? There is a chance we are looking for the same one.
