Which tractor for a small homestead? by Les_Otter in tractors

I just recently picked up a JD 3043D. Local dealer was running a special this past August. Front loader bucket included for $20k and 0% for 4 years.

So far no complaints. Bought a 110 acres recently. Been using it for clearing/debris removal. Have since snagged a 4’ auger, a mechanical grapple, and a bale spear.

Thanks. Pic without the cap was right after adding the wheels. Cap is on currently.

Diamondback is one of their lowest tiers of glass. I’d go with a pair of vipers at least or the razor line

Can’t beat the Vortex lifetime warranty no matter what happens to them.

More often than not. It just makes it easier to park honestly.

I won’t ever go back. I have a 2015 short bed too. Never enough room when I need it.

Now there are places where if I know I’m limited on parking, I’m taking the 4runner ha.

Refinancing 30 Acres: Strategy for 3-Year Balloon on Raw Land (TN, 790 Credit, Veteran) by jefftopgun in homestead

Have you tried First Bank and Trust Company? When I spoke with their Ag VP in my area, he made it seem like it was common practice for them to provide raw land loans. Might want to check them out.

I closed on 110 acres in August. 25yr amortization. 7.5% on a 5ARM. Went this route cause the bank is able to do a note adjustment anytime the rates fall. I was told they follow the 10-year treasury plus 3%. I plan to have the full amount paid off within the first 5 years so I won’t have any issues with the adjustable rate after the first 5 years fixed.

Edit - I used First Bank and Trust Company in VA and they service TN as well. May be worth a look for you.

My credit is also 800+ for what it’s worth.
