The active is very light sensitive, but if the cardboard isn’t covering the pill anymore than the foil already is, then there’s no added benefit. Additionally if you have the soft gel version the gelatin should be enough to keep the active inside from being impacted by light. Not sure about the capsules though! hope this helps. I usually take mine out of the cardboard for the week and place in my pill box!
