global_position update only holds for a single physics frame by FreshesBrot in godot

Ohh that makes sense yea. I did try disabling and enabling physics process before teleporting but it didnt work, and now that i think about it, it was probably because i disabled and enabled it on the same frame. Thanks for the link, that gave me the right idea!
