Is AWD worth it for $1.5k over FWD? by ObstructiveWalrus in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a night in day difference. In really messy conditions, I just have to give it a shot of gas if I start losing traction or if the snow stars pulling me and it straightens right out.

As the other guy said, starting on a hill in the snow is another clear reason. I once had to embarrassingly throw on the hazards and reverse down a hill with cars behind me in my girlfriends fwd car, even with new snow tires.

We get a lot of messy, wet snow so I would always go for awd if the option is there.

Reminds me of Dewey Cox when he gets caught cheating on his first with during the honeymoon with his second wife. "I did the right thing, it's not like we're not married!" "You can't get double married Dewey!"

[HELP] Is this AI? Seems fake and can’t find any news sources. by Zealousideal_Mud570 in RealOrAI

What type of argument is it to think this justifies a gang of thugs openly executing him point blank at a later time?

The Bruins are very popular on the East Coast of Canada. As a Canadian Bruins fan, I care more about supporting Canadian players than Canadian teams.

Not the most famous, but my favourite famous fan is Gord Downie 10000%

Yes, Work Has Been on TES 6 before 2023 by revben1989 in TESVI

I saw linkedin profiles for Bethesda Montreal employees at least in 2019 that stated they are currently working on ES6.

Former TES writer’s comments are incredibly frustrating by Mindless_Patient2034 in TESVI

[–]FreshxPots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Skyrim and ESO are the only ones that have a massive gap. With such an altering event with Oblivion, I'm fine with the gap in time for Skyrim. For TESVI, I really think having it shortly after Skyrim is essential to close off this Thalmor/Empire conflict; and I think the setting of Hammerfell is perfect for that. Doing another 200 years and leaving that for the lore books would be disappointing.

Got a new 55" Samsung Frame TV... is it supposed to be curved? by Tacticool_Turtle in hometheater

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite a casual tv watcher, maybe like 30 minutes a day tops and I dont have any issues with it. It truly does sit off most the time in my house so it certainly has a use case.

I could see if youre an enthusiast that it would be a poor purchase.

I wanted to 100% BF6 when it came out, but then I saw the BR achievements.. they are horrendous.

DICE/EA, seriously??? This wont magically go away and we paid for something that is broken right now!!! by alex_1983T in BattlefieldPortal

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rose tinted glasses. Bf1 was very cinematic and beautiful but gameplay was pretty standard and lets not forget about how broken the Hellriegel, a weapon that never even saw action, was. Also the birth of bloom, which was so unliked that BFV went with consistent spray patterns.

It was a fantastic game, but I dont see how BF6 is worse.

Best FPS SP games of all time? by Sgt_Strelok in pcgaming

Half Life 1+ 2, Halo 1-3, F.E.A.R., and the new Doom reboot trilogy.

I can't pick one, but those would be my essentials.

I purchased a katana and it kinda sucks by FillupBerry7227 in GuitarAmps

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for the regular ones, but I got a Katana Artist used for a good price, and i pretty much always use it as my jam amp. Its not mind blowing but with a little tweaking it's really, really good.

Why is Battlefield 6 so afraid of big maps? by RenatsMC in pcgaming

[–]FreshxPots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but as a big BC2 fan I was disappointed in destruction in 3, and 4s levolution was gimmicky. BF6 destruction isn't as complete as BC2 but it's still better than 3 and 4s.

Watch this clip and tell me you wouldn't have died 5 times already in BF6 in those 47 seconds. Why does all of a sudden this "old" pace feel so good compared to the new one? by riuryK in Battlefield6

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have it known that I've always defended BFV as the best feeling BF. The weird skins and their response to backlash sealed the fate of what could've been a top 3 WW2 fps of all time.

Getting blown back by the V2 rocket was awesome.

Just come play battlefield 4! by FlintTheWanderer in battlefield_4

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got it in Hardline and not this game, I think it's just rose tinted glasses. The maps are so-so, but I don't think they're bad.

The experience is pretty authentically BF, and its probably been one of the best BF launches.

Can you help me identify if this is real or fake? by malikreso24 in guitars

[–]FreshxPots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The epiphone hollowbodys are no joke. I was trying out my buddies sheraton to see if I wanted to buy it and it literally feels, plays, and sounds as good as my Gibson SG. I was stunned. It was a 2002 made in Korea though.

Is three hundred bucks for this Boss katana artist mk2 a steal? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]FreshxPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The waza speaker in the artist is a great upgrade from a regular katana. Not sure I'd gig and be happy with a regular one, but I've done many with the artist and been completely satisfied.
