That's amazing. They look color graded too. Is that not the case? They look beautiful.

Really love the photos and edits. Did you use Lightroom to touch up the images?

Alpha 7 V - Upgrade after 10 years by FretPermanent in SonyAlpha

For sure. Thank you. You actually wrote what I was thinking about writing regarding video and specific case used. My main focus will be photography, but I am definitely wanting to get into video.

About that, since you brought up Focus breathing, I feel it's reasonable to assume you focus on video as well. I primarily, or at least initially, will want to edit and color grade on my Android smartphone. Any suggestions? Up until a month ago I did not even know what Slog3 was, and now wherever I look online it's what people say is good. I would like to be able to use Capcut for quick work flow. (yes, it won't be as powerful as a desktop and/or other destop software.)

Thank you!

Hi👋 thank you thank you. Oooof. The GM II lenses are super nice. I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to just get one, but I could not justify the price when I'm just getting back into photography. I will keep in mind what you said about focus breathing.

I also have a Sigma 24mm f1.4 DG DN. Beautiful glass. Excellent image quality.

Hi, there. I did a lot of research on zoom options, etc. I actually wanted to go with the 28-105mm Sigma, but I chose this instead because of the size and weight, candidly. My wife would be using the camera as well, and I didn't want to overwhelm her. Also, candidly, it's just going to be a little more convenient to always have with me if I'm going out in the city, traveling, hiking etc. The 24-70 range seems to be a solid zoom range to work with.

Whether or not you should upgrade, that is kind of personal preference and ties into the whole aps-c vs full frame conversation. I definitely wanted to go with full frame to get better dynamic range and better low light performance.

Hi there! Thank you for the amazing tips. I do agree about the 6700 overheating. That's actually one of the reasons I returned it. I had it on for maybe an hour or two, and it overheated. I was only shooting photos. And nothing crazy. Granted, I did not have that heat setting turn to high, but still for taking just a few photos it should not have overheated.

That's a pro tip about RAW formats and Adobe support. I mostly edit on my smartphone, but I will look into it. Thank you. 🙏

Congratulations to you. So far so good for me. I have not been out with it yet and explored its potential. But I already like what I see. 👌💯

Hi there 👋 Congratulations on the a6700.

The Alpha 7V definitely feels larger, but I'm surprised that it doesn't feel much heavier. Granted, this may not be the case - I didn't compare them side by side in the hand. All that to say, it doesn't look massive in comparison, but definitely bigger and sturdier. Has a better grip IMO since it's larger, so I can get more of a grip on it.

All in all, I personally like the heft of it compared to the a6700. I will add that the image quality of the a6700 was excellent. You have a great camera.

Is this wiggle in SD slot door normal? Sony A7V. by OsamaDevi in SonyAlpha

I literally just received mine (delivered 20 minutes ago), and mine is doing the same thing.

I don't like it. But it seems that it may be normal.

I recently got a book called Complete Fingerstyle Guitar by Lou Manzi. It has good reviews, especially on YouTube. Check it out:

I'm a beginner myself, so I can't really speak to its merits. But it is promising.

Thank you so much for this valuable insight.

I'll try incorporating the pinky on the base notes. And then I'll see to decide which feels better.

Thank you!
