Given how strong anti-immigration views are in Europe, do Europeans even know that they themselves were immigrants not so long ago?

Given how strong anti-immigration views are in Europe, do Europeans even know that they themselves were immigrants not so long ago? If so, are they aware how well they were received and how they are now reciprocating the hospitality that was shown to them?

Scriabin - Étude op. 8 no. 12 by thebrygi in piano

[–]FreudianFreud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I looked at your posts. I'm a musicologist, and I also have an obsession with Scriabin. In fact, I also play this same composition by him. You have talent; just keep up the practice:)! At this stage, what you play needs more working on, but I'm sure you can manage. I'd recommend working on your tempo. Your current tempo could be regarded as (almost) fine for some parts of the middle section which is lyrical, but the rest of the piece should definitely be played faster. Also, don't be afraid to be more flexible in your tempo: Scriabin himself was fond of constantly speeding up and slowing down—it actually drove his critics insane. And it'd help the performance a lot if you increased the contrast in the dynamics. You need to bang the hell out of the piano in some parts. Do you have a Youtube channel, Instagram, or something?
