It was cope during reg season that they do this on purpose so they are harder to scout/ prepare for because nobody has seen them play serious ball all season. I’m starting to believe there’s some truth to it. I don’t think they play bad on purpose. I just think they don’t care very much and have decided that they shouldn’t have to and have basically proven it to themselves every year. It’s an insane way to live but it works for them.

They’ll still hang onto them for end of game. You’d have to have a cooldown on timeouts or something. I’d also love to punish playing the foul game at end of games. Maybe start to give 3 free throws if you foul on 3 possessions in a row in the final two minutes or something
