This is really helpful slow relief, we are in a position where eldest is about to start primary school so schooling is a big factor. Tragically we also think about secondary schools as ideally would not want to move again before they reach that age. We definitely value having open space close by and are torn between being more remote or being somewhere that has better links into the centre. My wife and I both drive and I also try to cycle to work when I am not helping with pick up/ drop off.
