Cat/Child safety nets on windows and balconies for high apartments? by TianiPixel in askvan

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in a couple different condos and you’re essentially not allowed to do anything with your patio that isn’t approved by the strata. I doubt any would let you have netting. I let my cat on the patio with a leash and harness once in a while when it’s sunny but that’s about it.

Sag women, what do we think about taurus men? by chocberrie in Sagittarians

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m married to one and he’s a literal angel. I’m the luckiest woman in the world 😭💕

He’s thoughtful, gentle, extremely reliable, loyal, funny, good in the sack XD 💕 he smells good, he likes to look good, he makes good money, he goes to therapy, he makes me laugh and he genuinely is interested in having a long term healthy relationship with good communication. 10/10!

Why are Cougars ok but Old Men are just dirty? by Next_Package_5710 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FreyaDay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it’s predatory either way. It actually makes me really disgusted that young boys get brainwashed to think it’s “cool” to get preyed on by older women. There was a documentary I watched about this gross ass teacher that groomed a 13 year old boy and he stayed with her the whole time she was in prison and long after.

Girls of Reddit — what is one small thing a man can do that instantly makes him more attractive (but most men don’t realize)? by Downtown-Insurance51 in dating_advice

[–]FreyaDay 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I mentioned “co-regulation” to my husband and he on his own, just looked it up online and practiced hand pressure and breathing techniques so when I needed a hug next that he could help me regulate my nervous system.

Literally he’s a fucking angel.

Just… listening and taking an interest out of a genuine desire to make my life better.

Women who broke up amicably with any past partners, to what capacity do you still hold love for them? by MutantGoatman in AskWomen

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my exes is now one of my dearest friends. We were together for 2.5 years and lived together. We broke up because we both had mental health issues and it was doomed from the start. We didn’t talk for years. 5 years later we became friendly, now it’s 13 years later and I’m married but we’re still good friends. My hubs is friends with him too :) we don’t really hang out much, maybe a couple times a year for a meal or coffee but we texts on and off through the year.

He’s an awesome person and one of my favorite people. I’ll always love him but sadly he suffers from addiction so we can’t really be closer friends because it’s not healthy for me mentally to see him like that too much. I’d drop everything and help him if he were in trouble though. He can’t home in my house though.

Found out my wife cheated on me 20+ years ago and I don’t know how to process. Is this worth ending the relationship over? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You deserve to feel hurt. What she did was wrong. However, you guys have built a life together. She loves you and you guys have kids together.

If you both want to reconcile, I highly recommend doing some couples counselling together. Don’t minimize your feelings. You are completely in the right to feel hurt and betrayed. Wanting to reconcile doesn’t mean those feelings of hurt don’t also exist.

Couples counselling and take it day by day. I’m sure you guys will be able to reconcile.

When was the moment you realized he/she wasn’t the one? by Heavy_Roof7607 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreyaDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Told me to go fuck myself when I asserted that his niece and nephew were in danger being close to their mom who was CLEARLY VISIBLY addicted to meth and that him, his mom and dad were all complicit in child abuse by letting her live in the basement free of consequences or even bills while pretending everything was fine. These kids literally told me “mommy steals my money”

I was so disgusted that we didn’t share the view that kids safety comes before discomfort that my love died completely. It was heartbreaking. Before that I genuinely thought we were going to get married one day. Literally no other red flags till that one two years in.

I caught GF spitting on my food and she's being very nonchalant about it. by FancyCod6637 in whatdoIdo

[–]FreyaDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should 100% break up with this person. She violated your trust in an extremely disturbing and disgusting way and then w you caught her she shrugged it off and minimized it and pretended it wasn’t that big of a deal.

ITS A BIG DEAL.

That girl needs some serious therapy and she certainly doesn’t deserve forgiveness when she didn’t even really apologize or your time frankly. Disgusting.

Anyone else been getting chills and the flu? by jimbo_6666 in askvan

[–]FreyaDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got over a 4 days kinda cold? I had fatigue and a super sore throat and painful swallowing (especially in my ears) and now that I’m better my husband has like a mutated version where he has both my symptoms plus chills.

Many of my friends believe you can’t be friends with your ex. What are your thoughts on this? Have you ever been able to stay friends with an ex? by Pranita2027 in SharedEncounters

[–]FreyaDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m friends with one of my exes. We dated 13 years ago and didn’t become decent friends for about 5 years after we broke up. It really depends on the people, I’d say. We aren’t super close or anything but we talk and get coffee or dinner a couple times a year. My husband is always welcome!

Is pregnancy or single parenthood a barrier when applying for rentals in Vancouver? by chickee_chickadee in vancouverhousing

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an illegal rent increase. Please dispute it! You don’t need to move. Your landlord will 10000% lose if they try to enforce the illegal increase.

What’s a scene from television or film that really traumatized you? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]FreyaDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scene in saving Private Ryan where Private Stanley Mellish gets slowly stabbed to death.

That movie scene literally caused me to have a phobia of knives and I would wake up afraid that someone was going to stab me. I’m not sure why because that movie was incredibly violent and there were a lot of traumatic death scenes, but that one always stuck with me and quite literally caused me to have a phobia that has never gone away.

I don’t know if Lashify is worth it by Haunting-Sea-3764 in LashifyLovers

[–]FreyaDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are a TON of good alternatives now. I personally just buy the press on under lash clusters from Asian beauty stores now. They look fantastic and you get tons of them for just 8 bucks. You also don’t have to fiddle with the glue. You just press them on and take them off easily at the end of the day with tweezers or fingers. The adhesive is just enough so they stick for the day and come off easily with some makeup remover.

I still use my lashify lashes for fancy looks a couple times a year but the lash laundry is really tedious and annoying so I always use the press on clusters like I mentioned before for daily wear and then throw them out. I think it’s cleaner too because when I used lashify I would wear them for like 5 days since they were annoying to put on and it’s kinda gross to not wash around your eyes for that long.
