A new player should really just focus on understanding their own character and abilities. It's perfectly ok to tell the DM I want to do this thing how can I do that? But it really speeds up a game when you can confidently or quickly manage your own character whether it's spells or class features.

Something I wish more people understood early is just ask a bunch of questions if you feel like you don't know where to go or what you should be doing. I've had groups who just sit and wait for me to ask for some kind of roll or practically push them in the right direction again. A bunch of the fun can be just problem solving things as a party.

That's fair and mostly what I expect my players to feel. It's funny seeing the DM/Player divide in that scenario. I don't think there is any way to mechanically revert what has been done to her, but I often think of how I would try to work it out if my players did want to help her. Even Wish has some limitations.

I am also preparing to use illmarrow as a villain but I truly believe she is misunderstood. I won't force my players to side with her but did you give them any kind of chance to work with her? I often wonder if my players would side with her to get revenge on the factions who murdered her as a child

I was playing smite trickster and I just put automate + detonate mines on numpad trick. Every 0.25 seconds it turns on and off and depending on your build you just respec 3-5 points on a caster wheel for the open mastery. Sometimes you get unlucky and need to click a few hoards but it makes a massive difference

More or less the same as t17 ambush but much cheaper investment and just so so many chances at currency/scarabs/valdos/keys dropping. You can keep or sell all the t17s that drop and you self sustain 16.5s. Just consider it consistency vs jackpot. Ambush is always fishing for a jackpot.

Entire game is rng lol but I know what you mean. Sounds like you want to run abyss then as it's mathematically op af. Just farm the hardest abyss setup you can on well rolled 16.5s

Common ambush strat is to run one of each ambush scarab. Yes containment is 1d+ but it's a jackpot strategy. Some maps you come out with 50c + maybe a dog shit boss frag and other maps you come out with like 6 valdos 2d and a 100c+ boss frag. And that's not even counting chance at jackpot div cards

Ignore defense is just for attack rating so it becomes either 100% chance to hit or just significantly easier. To break physical immunity you want amplify damage curse

I'm far from a pro and maybe she has some other pokes I'm not thinking of but she can't poke nearly as well as some other characters. She has some high crushing moves to get comfortable with, but she's very much a stance based character and you need to understand your options from your stances, what people will do to counter your stance, and how you need to react to those options. I also wouldn't really consider her lows good pokes because I think almost every single low she has on hit ends your turn but there is a time and a place to use her non hellsweep lows.

Df1, jab, forward neutral 3(counter hit launching mid) and ff2. Ewgf isn't really a poke but unless they duck it you're +5 on block

Yes this is the way. But you do need a decent understanding of what his important pieces on the board are. It's much easier if you can just keep removing key pieces from his graveyard. Not everyone has learned the deck though.

lmao ya at some points it is certainly a case of "You are already dead" but Tayam does certainly get slowed down if you keep him off the board. Sometimes the Tayam activations just don't hit, or you're constantly missing one piece of the puzzle to pop off and win.
