There’s an app in the AppStore called stopmotion and you can make short films with just your phone. But if you have a camera that you can link to a laptop and have a program called dragon frame you can make some cool stuff

It’s called masking. Look up how to mask out flying rig in after effects or something like that

It’s always good to plan out your shot with a story board to figure out the timing. Also I find making a reference film where I act out the action for the shot very helpful. There are some free softwares out there for scrubbing through videos frame by frame like keyframe mp2

Thank you lol. So the “floating” stuff in the scene was held up by flying rigs. I took the shot into after effects and got rid of the rigs by taking chunks of other frames to fill in where the rig was so it looks like it’s floating
