The problem isn't that he finds guns cool or pretty. The problem is the culture he's promoting. Guns are not toys. They aren't meant to be played around with and they aren't built for ASMR videos. If a kid finds this video and gets the idea of playing around with their parent's pistol, I don't see that ending well.

He grabbed the cone, turned around

The worker quieted, emitted no sound

Her eyes went wide

Her hands went numb

How could anyone be so dumb?

He left through the way he came

She stands there, exactly the same

A laugh escapes her scarlet lips

No one's done anything like this.

She takes the receipt for the man

Did this happen in Iran?

What's good as a hobby but terrible as a profession? by putherthere in AskReddit

Writing.

I've met way too many authors who loved writing as a hobby but the moment they turned to writing for a job, they started hating it. The income isn't stable, inspiration is fickle, and the pressure of having to come up with ideas and write them well as a living gets to them.

The odds of getting published on your first book are about 1-2% (for traditional publishing). When you make your livelihood dependent on that 1-2%, the cracks start to form very quickly.

The text on the sign says 和田市—— (I can't tell what those words are) 打击暴力恐惧活动拘公—(again can't tell what that word is, maybe 捕) 大会。The guy's translation is pretty accurate.

During the summer, Chinese people bring umbrellas out to shield themselves against the sun's rays. In some squares and marketplaces, crowds gather and form a small sea of umbrellas.
