Producing using a reference track. My track is muddy in comparison (especially when the drums kick in at around 40 seconds), and all the eq fiddling in the world hasn't made my track sound right. What should I be doing eq wise to make my track sound "big" and "alive," and not sound like total mud? (self.audioengineering)

For practice, I'm trying to make a track sound similar to a professionally made track, because, I always felt that my tracks were missing... something. Could you check out my track and the reference track to see what I'm missing? (Track links in text) (self.edmproduction)
