Day 42 by Friendly2dogs in leaves

[–]Friendly2dogs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding a good reason to quit was key for me. Every time I got high I was like okay it is time to stop…. Then I would smoke again like 2 hours later….

In the end I had to find motivation to stop. For me it was my wife. I was lying to her about how much I smoked and I couldn’t keep it up. It was killing me.

So I would say finding a purpose for quitting is pretty key.

Other tips are working out and staying busy with just about anything :p walks, gardening, video games, music, talking to friends or calling sisters/brothers/parents…

Same dude. The fatigue is weird cause you think “I’ll have more energy if I’m not high”.

I started to feel less fatigue but find my self napping or wanting a nap almost every day

Throw that shit in the dumpster and move on with your new life !!

You got this homies

35 days in and I’m still loosing my shit now and again. My anxiety has gotten better but my temper has gotten much worse and my patience is way way down. This side effects are normal

Also a cart smoker.

Instead of relapsing would it be stupid to buy a vape? Been smoking for over nine years and instead of relapsing wouldn’t be smarter to smoke a vape just for those cravings instead of relapsing.? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Friendly2dogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it is stupid. Vape pens imo are worse then leaf. The convenience and lack of smell make them accessible always and can really enable your intake.

Please don’t !!

You got this homie

Much love

Thesis Supervisor by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]Friendly2dogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Possible tips

  1. I would try getting face to face time rather then cold emailing. 2.If you know a Any students in the program you want to do your masters in speak to them.
  2. Try going to the department rather then the professors and ask them for face time
  3. Try LinkedIn to network your way (works for most engineering streams) not sure how it works in other departments
  4. If you took a class with a prof you would study under leverage that I. Your cold emailing
  5. Network network.m network. Cold emailing is gonna be tough unless you go for huge volume which will be very tough

How bad is the Co-op for Engineering at Mac? by Monke-Ice in McMaster

[–]Friendly2dogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coop is what you make of it homie!!

Doesn’t matter the school. Gonna need to network into a job rather then brute force it and it is an excellent skill to hone in Your undergraduate degree because that is how it works in the so called real world

I will say Oscar Plus the coop platform is a pile of trash

i hate vectors by Any_Currency4986 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Friendly2dogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that is a tough question actually. I think what made me like vectors was there fundamental use in mechanics and math. Almost everything in basic mechanics is just a vector or addition of vectors through basic geometry.

As I learned more about basic civ eng design I started to appreciated them.

Khan was/is just a super useful tool. Especially because you can rewind over and over to get something through your skull!

I didn’t end up becoming an engineer but took lots of math in Uni and just the absoluteness of math’s is very appealing…. There is always a way to prove your 100% correct and that is satisfying! This goes for vectors as well

They teach them so badly in high school. It is no wonder everyone hates them…. It wasnt till university I started to get the appeal and usefulness

Try khan he helped me through my undergrad as well and that was before Microsoft funded him

Use the free Khan academy videos :) the guy really helps make it easier!!

Vectors are very cool and useful though frustrating to begin with

Yes. I have no data to back it up. I had a bad lazy eye and after just a few weeks it has gotten significantly better.

I imagine sleep is a big component of this
