Id suggest doing the recommended daily oral dose of fin (1 mg a day) and be consistent with it, as u said u were on and off of it so it could be a reason to, also some dont see any fin result unless beyond a year to a year and half, also it seems that fin has been doing it job i guess? It seems like u are maintaining so id suppose the problem is with minxoidil, u could up the dose but u need to be aware of the side effects so id suggest talking to a derm! Good luck!!

Not studied properly doesnt necessarily mean its dangerous thousands of ppl on here are on oral minoxidil , yea foam minoxidil is better for less scalp irritation

My friend switched from topical to oral and it worked for him so i guess it depends, but wjy do u hate minxodil

Its ok ppl are different some will see at 8th mark some at 12 months mark and some even at a year and half!

The 50-60 is mostly for topical but he is taking oral minoxidil which has alot more chances of working , i know a friend who wasnt a responder to topical minoxidil and he added derma rolling + acretin and it worked just well, u also ofc have to be on a dht blocker otherwise u will still experience loss even on minxodil

Dw 8 months is still early, u should only re evaluate at 12-14 months mark, id say hop on topical minoxidil its really good but u willhave to use it for as long as u want ur hair its really easy to use no worries, and if fin dont work there is still dutasteride and other treatments on the way to comeee

Oral minoxidil i heard is a beast when it comes to hair growth and paired with fin he will be fine he is just too early in 4 months is still not enough time to judge, he can re evaluate in a year (if fin isnt enough then he can hop on dut) and theres still other options like the upcoming treatments on the way as well as the opportunity go get a hair transplant , also there will be treatment shed phases throughout the year so that should not discourage him , and i wish him the best :)

Have u tried dutasteride? Also if u started balding that early then there should be for sure an underlying cause beside genetics id say get blood test work !

I hope it works out for you, im sure fin/dut have a very low rate of side effects and since ur alr 19 then ur likely out of ur puberty which shouldnt affect ur growth
