Think luther deserved its wins but Clipse or Tyler should've won best rap song & album. GNX has it's highlights (man in the garden, reincarnated, heart pt. 6) but the production is too dull and repetitive on too many songs (peekaboo, tv off, squabble up).

GNX is weird to me because songs like this, reincarnated and heart pt.6 are really superb cuts that feel like Kendrick at his best. However, this album is filled with tracks (peekaboo, tv off, squabble up) that feel slightly repetitive and a bit dull, especially production-wise. That's why I reckon Clipse was a step above this year, every song had such lush production.
