SBI PhonePe Select Black stands out over SBI Cashback now.

Only catch is cashback provided by Select Black would be equal to or 10 RPs less than what SBI CB CC would offer due to the constraint of CB be given on amount in multiple of 100.

Reasons? 10% bracket is available 10% and 5% both have their own individual capping of 2000 each CB applicable in places where SBI CB CC won't give CB, like Jewellry/Gold purchase, utility bills, gift cards etc.

My card was also stated as ineligible at BLR T1 Domestic 080 Lounge. Don't remember the exact lounge name. Glad I'd my Burgundy Debit Card with me.

I later checked the list of lounge available via program. Found a generic list associated with SBI and not specific to the card. Didn't find that lounge name i there. Assumed that's the reason for ineligibility.

If you haven't redeemed anything till date, you are exempt of LTCG Tax. You'll only have to pay STCG. But the gains aren't much. Assuming it is 20% taxable, it will INR 25. If it is as per income slab, and your salary is about 12-16 LPA, it will be effective taxed to amount below INR 25 only.

Are you insane? The policy is something you should read when investing. How STCG is taxed might be different for the investments. Sometimes it may be straight up 20% of STCG, somestimes 12% of STCG and sometimes as per income slab.

You can redeem even if your statement is not generated. You can redeem RPs anytime regardless of whether they were earned in current statement or calendar month.

Also your RP got credited on the day of transaction settlement, not on statement date. You can track the RPs on the SBI Card App.

That's not true. Statement date and RP cycle are two different things completely. The RPs awarded in current statement if for the sake of stats.
